Canada is one of the most popular destinations for families leaving the UAE. Moving your household there has three parts to get right: the goods themselves, the paperwork at the Canadian border and, if you have them, your pets.

Moving your household goods

Declare the goods to follow

When you first arrive in Canada, you give the border officer a list of the belongings that will follow you, recorded on form BSF186. Only goods on that list qualify when the shipment arrives.

Restricted items

Firearms, some foods, plants and plant products are restricted or need permits. We screen for them at the survey, before anything is packed.

Your car

We ship cars to Canada and handle the UAE export side. Canada’s import and safety rules depend on the vehicle, so we check them for your car at survey.

Health documents

Cats and dogs entering Canada from the UAE need health documents and, for dogs, proof of rabies vaccination.

Checked when you book

Our pet relocation team checks the current CFIA requirements for your animal at the time of booking.

Flight and crate

We book the flight and supply an airline-approved, IATA-compliant travel crate.
