Moving a team is a scheduling problem
Ten individual moves booked separately will collide: the same packing week, the same sailing, the same delivery slot. Planned together they can be sequenced so no two families are disrupted at once and the freight is used properly.

How a group move is run
One plan across every assignee
, with surveys sequenced rather than booked ad hoc.
Packing dates staggered
so crews are not competing and no household waits.
Freight consolidated
where destinations and timing align, which is usually where the saving is.
A single reporting line
and one consolidated invoice instead of one thread per employee.

Scoping a group move
Office relocations
Commercial moves are planned around your working hours, not ours. That normally means packing after close on a Thursday, transit over the weekend, and desks usable on Monday. IT equipment is inventoried separately and crated to its own standard, and we work to the building’s access rules at both ends — goods lifts, dock bookings and out-of-hours permissions.
What we need to quote
How many households, roughly what size, which destinations, and the window you are working to. That is enough for a plan and a price.
Where consolidation saves money — and where it does not
Consolidating freight is the obvious lever on a group move, but it only pays when destinations and timing genuinely align. Two households going to the same country within the same fortnight are a good candidate. Two households going to the same continent three months apart are not — holding the first shipment to wait for the second costs more in storage than the shared container saves. We work out which of your moves belong together before quoting rather than assuming they all do, and we say plainly where separate shipments are the cheaper answer.

Sequencing and site logistics
Sequencing when the team cannot all leave at once
Most group moves cannot empty a function in one week — someone has to keep operating. That usually means a phased departure, with the order set by who the business can least afford to lose first rather than by who is readiest to move. Once the order is set, the logistics follow it: surveys run a fixed period ahead of each departure, packing lands in the week before, and nobody is packed months before they fly. The plan is built around the business constraint, not the other way round.
What changes on an office move
Commercial and household moves fail differently. A household move fails on access and paperwork; an office move fails on downtime and on equipment that does not come back up. That changes what we plan for: a documented inventory of IT assets with serials, crating to a standard that survives handling, a defined order of disassembly and reassembly, and a first-morning presence on site so anything that did not survive transit is dealt with before the working day starts rather than reported at the end of it.
Building access at both ends
Group and office moves are the ones most likely to be stopped by a building rather than by a border. Goods lifts get booked out, docks require slots reserved weeks ahead, and many commercial landlords require certificates of insurance naming them specifically before a crew is admitted. We deal with the building management at origin and destination as part of the plan, because a crew turned away at reception costs a full day that cannot be recovered.
One invoice, one thread
Administratively, the point of running the moves together is that your finance team receives one consolidated account against one approved scope, and your mobility team deals with one person about all of it. The alternative — ten quotes, ten invoices, ten email threads — is where most of the hidden cost of a group move actually sits.
