Pets to Ireland
Ireland is an EU member state. Dogs and cats from the UAE need: ISO microchip, valid rabies vaccination, a blood titre test from an EU-approved laboratory (rabies antibody level must be 0.5 IU/ml or above), and an EU-format health certificate issued by an officially authorised UAE veterinarian within 10 days of travel. The titre test must be performed at least 30 days after vaccination and the result must be at least 0.5 IU/ml. How long does it take to move from Dubai to Ireland?

What is Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief?
Transfer of Residence (ToR) is Irish Revenue’s implementation of EU Regulation 1186/2009 for removal goods. It allows qualifying individuals transferring their normal residence from outside the EU to Ireland to import used household goods free of Irish VAT (23%) and customs duty. The ToR claim is made on form C&E 1076. To qualify: you must have lived outside the EU for at least 12 consecutive months; your goods must have been owned and in use for at least 6 months; and goods must not be sold or transferred for 12 months after import.
What is a PPS number and when do I get one?
A PPS number (Personal Public Service number) is Ireland’s unique personal public identifier — equivalent to a social security or national insurance number. It is required for: employment in Ireland (PAYE registration), accessing social welfare, engaging with government departments (Revenue, DSP, HSE), enrolling children in school, and many public services. PPS numbers are issued by the Department of Social Protection. New arrivals apply in person at a local Intreo Centre or Social Welfare office after establishing an Irish address. Can I ship my car from Dubai to Ireland?
