To relocate the entire commercial unit would be overwhelming, whether it’s laboratory, machinery or an entire manufacturing plant. Fusion Relocations gives the turn-key solutions for moving machinery, multiple equipment, chemicals, heavy loads and industrial goods across sectors.

When industrial relocation is not handled with impeccable execution, meticulous planning and extensive care, it becomes a nightmare. We at Fusion Relocations have a team of experts for machinery movers to fitters, machine operators and welders that have experience in proper packing and moving the industrial goods.

Dismantle, move, rebuild

We have expert packing, efficient dismantling, timely transportation, well-organised assembly and restructuring at the new factory with minimal downtime.

Sectors we cover

Fusion Relocation equips to handle industrial relocation for sectors like medical, chemical, textile, oil, plastic as well distributors, government authorities, industrial machinery, wholesalers and retailers for small and large movement of goods.

Why industrial packing is a different discipline

Moving a household is about care. Moving industrial equipment is about engineering. The load is heavy, often unbalanced, frequently sensitive to shock or moisture, and usually worth far more than the packaging around it. What protects it is not more padding but a case designed for the specific load, its centre of gravity and its route.

What the work involves

  • Case design against the actual load. Weight, dimensions, centre of gravity and fragility determine the timber specification, the bracing and the fixing method — not a standard box size.
  • Skid mounting and bolt-down so the machine is secured to the base rather than resting in it, and cannot shift in transit.
  • Shock and tilt indicators where the equipment is sensitive, so any rough handling is evidenced rather than argued about later.
  • Moisture control — barrier foil and desiccant for sea freight, where a container’s internal humidity swings enough to corrode bare metal over a long voyage.
  • Lifting points marked and rated, so the crew at the far end lifts where the case is built to be lifted.
  • ISPM 15 heat-treated timber, which almost every country requires for solid wood packaging and which is refused at the border without the stamp.

ISPM 15, and why it stops shipments

ISPM 15 is the international standard for wood packaging material. Solid timber crates, pallets and dunnage must be heat-treated and marked, or the receiving country can refuse, fumigate or destroy the packaging at the shipper’s cost — with the cargo held while that happens. It is one of the most common causes of an industrial shipment being stopped at a border, and it is entirely avoidable. We use certified treated timber as standard and the mark travels on the case.

On-site crating

Some equipment cannot be moved to be packed — it is too heavy, too delicate, or bolted to a floor. We build on site instead: measure in place, fabricate around the machine, and lift the finished case out as one unit. That is normally the right answer for machine tools, laboratory equipment, generators and anything with a calibrated alignment that a rough move would disturb.

Documentation

Industrial shipments are documented differently from household goods. They need a packing list at case level with weights and dimensions, commercial values for customs, and where relevant the certifications the destination requires for that class of equipment. Getting this right before the shipment moves is what keeps it moving.

Telling us what you have

To quote accurately we need the dimensions and weight of each item, what it is, whether it is sensitive to shock or moisture, whether it can be dismantled, and where it is going. Photographs help more than descriptions. If it is easier, we will come and look.
