Fusion Relocations designs and builds industrial packaging in-house at our Dubai facility. Our Industrial Packaging Process
Engineered at Every Stage
Every industrial packaging project follows a structured engineering process — from technical consultation to loading and dispatch. Nothing is improvised on the day.
01 Technical Consultation
We review the equipment specifications — dimensions, weight, centre of gravity, fragility classification, and the proposed transport route. For complex items, our workshop manager visits your site to assess the equipment and the access constraints for removal and loading.
02 Crate Design & Engineering
Our workshop team designs the crate or skid mount to the specific requirements of the item — timber specification, internal bracing layout, suspension system, access panel positioning, and forklift entry points. For heavy items, a load-bearing calculation is completed before construction begins.
03 ISPM 15 Timber Preparation
All timber is sourced as heat-treated ISPM 15-certified material and marked accordingly. This is a non-negotiable requirement for any crate or pallet crossing an international border — failure to comply results in seizure at destination customs.
04 Equipment Preparation
Before crating, the equipment is prepared — draining of fluids where required, securing of moving parts, VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) film application for metal components susceptible to corrosion during ocean freight, and desiccant placement for humidity control.
05 Crating & Packing
The crate is built around the equipment — not the equipment forced into a pre-built box. Internal foam suspension, blocking, bracing, and shock-absorbing mounts are fitted per the design. Shock and tilt indicators are applied where specified. The crate is closed, strapped, and marked with handling instructions.
06 Loading, Documentation & Dispatch
The crated equipment is loaded onto the appropriate transport — truck, flatbed, or container — using forklift or crane as required. All export documentation, packing lists, and freight forwarding instructions are coordinated by our team before dispatch from Dubai.
