Fine Arts & Antiques Relocation Dubai

Fine Arts & Antiques Relocation — Museum-Standard Care for Your Most Valuable Pieces

Artwork, antique furniture, sculptures, ceramics, and high-value collectibles require a fundamentally different approach to moving. Standard packing materials, standard crews, and standard insurance are not appropriate. Fusion Relocations operates a specialist fine arts and antiques service — with custom-built crating, acid-free packing materials, climate-controlled transport, and FIDI-accredited quality management — for clients in Dubai who cannot afford to get it wrong.

Custom CratingIn-House Workshop

Specialist Care for Objects That Cannot Be Replaced

Every piece of fine art, every antique, and every significant collectible has a story, a value, and a level of fragility that generic movers are not equipped to handle. The consequences of a poorly packed painting, a damaged sculpture, or an antique chest exposed to temperature extremes during a Dubai summer transit are irreversible.

Fusion Relocations operates an in-house crating workshop in Dubai — designing and building custom timber crates for each individual item, using acid-free tissue, archival foam, and conservation-grade materials throughout. We employ specialist fine arts crew who are trained in museum-standard handling protocols — not general movers assigned to an unusual job.

For international fine arts shipments, we work with our FIDI global partner network — ensuring the same standards are maintained at the destination end. Climate-controlled transport and storage options are available on all routes.

What We Handle

  • Oil, watercolour, and mixed-media paintings — framed and unframed
  • Sculptures — stone, bronze, ceramic, glass, and mixed media
  • Antique furniture — all periods and materials
  • Ceramics, porcelain, and glassware collections
  • Rugs, tapestries, and textile art
  • Numismatic and philatelic collections
  • Jewellery and high-value personal items
  • Wine collections and temperature-sensitive items
  • CITES-regulated items requiring export and import permits

In-House Crating Workshop

Every crate is designed and built specifically for the item — no off-the-shelf solutions. Timber frames, foam lining, acid-free tissue, and internal bracing are all specified per piece.

Climate-Controlled Transport

Temperature and humidity-controlled vehicles available for items sensitive to environmental change — essential for panel paintings, antique wood, and certain ceramics.

Condition Reporting

Comprehensive photographic condition reports completed before packing and after delivery — providing a documented record of the item’s state throughout its journey.

Lloyd’s-Approved Insurance

Specialist fine arts insurance underwritten by Lloyd’s of London-approved insurers — covering agreed value, not market depreciation — arranged in-house for every shipment.

Our Fine Arts Process

Museum-Standard Handling at Every Stage

Every fine arts move follows a documented, specialist process — from survey to final condition check. Nothing is improvised; every step is planned and executed by trained crew.

01 Specialist Survey

A Fusion fine arts specialist visits your home or collection to assess every item — reviewing condition, construction, material, size, and any fragility concerns. This survey informs the crating specifications and handling requirements for each piece.

02 Condition Reporting

Before any packing begins, every item is photographed comprehensively — multiple angles, existing damage noted. This condition report is countersigned by the owner and forms the baseline for the insurance declaration and any transit claim assessment.

03 Custom Crate Design & Build

Our in-house workshop designs and builds a purpose-made crate for each significant item — timber frame, internal foam lining, acid-free tissue wrapping, and internal bracing. No item shares a crate unless it is safe to do so.

04 Expert Packing

Specialist crew — not general movers — pack every item according to its individual requirements. Paintings are wrapped in conservation-grade materials, sculptures are foam-suspended, antique furniture is blanketed and corner-protected.

05 Climate-Controlled Transport

Items are loaded into climate-controlled vehicles where required. For international shipments, we specify climate-controlled container options or air freight for particularly sensitive or high-value pieces.

06 Delivery, Unpacking & Condition Check

At destination, our specialist crew or FIDI partner agent unpacks and places every item. A final condition report is completed — compared against the pre-move report — and any transit damage is documented for insurance purposes immediately.

Accreditations & Standards

Independently Verified Quality

Fine arts handling requires specialist credentials — not just general moving accreditation. The standards below are independently audited and externally verified.

FIDI Accredited Mover

Fusion holds full FIDI FAIM accreditation — the global gold standard for international moving companies. Our fine arts processes are subject to the same independent audit.

Lloyd’s-Approved Fine Arts Insurance

Specialist fine arts insurance underwritten by Lloyd’s of London-approved insurers — covering agreed replacement value, not depreciated market value. Arranged in-house for every shipment.

FIDI Global Partner Network

For international fine arts shipments, we work exclusively with FIDI-accredited partner agents at destination — ensuring the same handling standards are maintained at the delivery end, not handed to a generic local mover.

ISO 9001 Certified

Our quality management processes — including fine arts survey, condition reporting, crating specifications, and crew training — are certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Why Choose Fusion for Fine Arts

The Measurable Difference

There are moving companies, and there are specialist fine arts handlers. Here is what separates Fusion from a general mover assigned to a valuable collection.

In-House Crating Workshop

We design and build every crate ourselves — not outsourced. This means every specification is controlled by our team, every material is chosen for conservation quality, and every crate is right for the item.

Specialist-Trained Crew

Our fine arts crew hold specialist training in museum-standard handling — conservation wrapping, painting handling protocols, sculpture suspension, and antique furniture protection. Not general movers reassigned to a specialist job.

Before & After Condition Reports

Every item is photographed and condition-reported before packing and after delivery. Any change in condition is immediately documented and a claim initiated — you never have to argue about what happened.

Climate-Controlled Options

Temperature and humidity-controlled vehicles and containers are available for any item where environmental stability matters — panel paintings, antique wood, certain ceramics and textiles.

Agreed Value Insurance

Our Lloyd’s-approved fine arts insurance covers the agreed value of your piece — not a depreciated market value. For significant works, we recommend independent valuation prior to shipment.

Fine Arts — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Common questions about moving fine art and antiques from Dubai. For a specialist consultation about your collection, contact us directly.

We build every crate in-house at our Dubai workshop — designed specifically for each item. We do not use off-the-shelf crates or outsource to a third-party fabricator. Every material, every specification, and every construction detail is controlled by our own team.
We use only conservation-grade materials — acid-free tissue, archival foam, conservation-grade polyethylene foam, glassine, and archival corrugated board where appropriate. For paintings, we use silicone-release paper before any other material touches the painted surface. We do not use bubble wrap in direct contact with any artwork.
Yes. Items covered by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) — including certain antique furniture with ivory inlay, antique tortoiseshell items, and pieces incorporating restricted species — require export permits from the UAE and import permits at the destination. We manage the permit application process as part of the service.
We arrange specialist fine arts insurance underwritten by Lloyd’s of London-approved insurers, covering the agreed value of each piece. For significant works, we strongly recommend an independent valuation prior to shipment to establish an accurate agreed value. We can refer you to qualified appraisers in Dubai if required.
Yes. We have managed the movement of large-scale sculptures, multi-component installations, and oversized pieces that require specialist equipment — including crane lifts, custom vehicle modifications, and route surveys for pieces with dimensional restrictions. Contact us with dimensions and we will advise on feasibility and approach.
Yes. Our climate-controlled storage facility in Dubai is appropriate for artwork, antique furniture, and sensitive collectibles. Items are stored in dedicated bays with full inventory and condition documentation — not in general-purpose self-storage units.
